We want church to be a place of fun, friendship and learning for children and their families. Our sun@10 and sun@4 services are both child friendly and offer learning programs for children. These are conducted in small groups for preschool through to junior high school age. Children leave part way during the service, if they wish to, to join their group where they engage in age specific activities focused on God’s Word. At these services, a crèche is provided to allow parents to engage in services with as little distraction as possible. A parents room is available at the back of the church building with baby change facilities and a variety of toys.
During school term, a Toddler group is run in the church grounds every Tuesday morning from 10:30am to 11:45am. A wide range of activities are available to children to enjoy with their parents, as well as a chance for parents to interact with other adults, sharing the parenting experience over morning tea.
At different times of the year, St. Peter’s seeks to support parents by running courses aimed at helping parents develop healthy relationships with their children.
St Peter’s Youth meets Friday evenings during school term.
A regular night includes games and activities, supper, a short talk and groups to study the Bible together in more detail. We usually meet at St. Peter’s and we have occasional social nights. St Peter’s Youth is for Christians and anyone wanting to know more about who Jesus is and what Christianity is all about.
