We at St Peter’s South Tamworth firmly believe that Jesus is Christ and Lord – the son of the living God. We believe he came as a man in history, that he lived the perfect life, died on the cross, was buried, and three days later rose bodily from the dead (1 Cor 15:3-8). We believe that the only hope that we have to be saved from sin, given eternal life, and be part of God’s family is to trust in Jesus’ death and resurrection.

We believe that the Bible, both Old & New Testaments are the inspired word of God, and that it’s useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness
(2 Tim 3:16-17). We affirm the Church’s historic creeds and use them regularly when we gather.

We believe that Jesus will come to judge the living and the dead and so we are fully committed to seeing everyone in Tamworth come to know him as lord and saviour.
