We want church to be a place of fun, friendship and learning for children and their families. Our Saturday@5 and Sunday@10 services are both child friendly and offer learning programs for children. These are conducted in small groups for preschool through to junior high school age. Children leave part way during the service, if they wish to, to join their group where they engage in age specific activities focused on God’s Word. At these services, a crèche is provided to allow parents to engage in services with as little distraction as possible. A cry room is available at the back of the church building with baby change facilities and a variety of toys.
During term time a Toddler group is run in the church grounds every Tuesday morning from 10:30am to 12:00 noon. A wide range of activities are available to children to enjoy with their parents, as well as a chance for parents to interact with other adults, sharing the parenting experience over morning tea.
At different times of the year, St. Peter’s seeks to support parents by running courses aimed at helping parents develop healthy relationships with their children.
PULSE meets Friday evenings during school term from 7:00pm to 9:00pm. A regular night at PULSE includes games and activities, supper, a short talk and groups to study the Bible together in more detail. We usually meet at St. Peter’s and we have occasional social nights. PULSE is run for high schoolers in years 7 to 12. PULSE is for Christians and anyone wanting to know more about who Jesus is and what Christianity is all about. You can keep up to date on what Pulse Youth is doing by liking their facebook page here.
This study currently meets on Wednesday evening from 7:00-9:00pm at St Peter’s Office, 34 Vera St, South Tamworth. Each night begins and finishes with some social time, although most of the night is spent in small groups studying the Bible. This group meets during school term and will often meet socially during holidays.
